Of Course, Needs Updating, But Will Not
This is great if you just want to take pictures, videos, watch movies (off of storage-not internet) and other things NOT using the internet. If you use the internet, you will NOT be able to "actually" connect to a website often times. The only "video" website I was able to get into was YouTube and it doesn't do like it is suppose to. When I say you will not be able to connect to some websites, I mean just about any "type" of website. You will be able to access the internet, but if you type something like "EBay" it will list EBay links, but once you click on a link, you will not be able to enter at times. The Tab will say "Couldn't Establish A Secure Connection." If you are successful at opening the link, you will have "limited" information shown on the screen "at times, not ALL of the time, depends on the site" (not all text, pictures and videos will appear). Amazon opened for me, but was funky looking (limited items displayed on screen). You will not be able to update your internet browser because the Tab's main software is outdated. The Tab's Software will no longer update to a newer version. You will have to do your own research on how to update the Samsung Galaxy Tab's main software OR take it to a computer store. Once updated, it should be the bomb (if it can even update)! I plan on taking it to a computer store, but it will depend on the cost (price) to see if it is even worth updating. I got my Tab around $40 or so, a great price. I couldn't connect to Tubitv, PBS, ABC and other video websites. Couldn't connect to "some" simple links like "Health benefits of cabbage" where a video isn't even needed, just text. When I clicked on a link it stated "There Was A Network Error." I clicked on another website's link and it opened up just fine. So in closing, using the internet will be hit and miss using this Tab's old-outdated software and other applications internet and non-internet related may not be able to update on an outdated Android Version. If you buy this Galaxy Tab, make sure the price is cheap. ***IMPORTANT*** Make sure a connecting/charging cable is included with a battery when you purchase (takes a "special" cable you just can't buy anywhere). If you just want to use it as a video player, music player, camera and other basic uses (using Tab's storage or SD Card), this would be great if you get it at a cheap.
